Mio possesses an innate sensitivity to emotion, able to glimpse the good and evil within others and sense their condition through the feelings they radiate. Whether her gentle nature is inborn or shaped by this gift remains unknown, but she always treats others with quiet warmth and patience.
A few words with her feel like a balm to the soul—the fatigue of the journey simply fades away. It makes leaving Onsengo all the more difficult.

Mayoi
 

A cold, sharp-eyed girl who looks ready to pick a fight at any moment.
Mayoi is almost always frowning, as if everything around her annoys her. Her hand never strays far from her blade, fingers tightening like she might draw it at any second.
And yet... "I want to talk to the adventurer... but how do I even start? Tch... this is such a pain..."
According to her sister Mio, she's just a socially awkward girl who has no idea how to say what she really feels.

Osawa Eiichi
 

An overly friendly, slightly goofy boy.
Despite it being your first meeting, he greets the adventurer like an old friend, grinning as if you've known each other forever. 
He's a cheerful go-getter, completely obsessed with hot-blooded hero stories. Every time you run into him, he's pitching his odd-jobs business—though right now, it looks more like a pile of scraps than a proper shop. Still... every now and then, those unreliable-looking eyes turn unexpectedly serious, like he's holding onto a dream he refuses to let go.

Hanayama Suzu
 

A demi-yokai girl of Hellhollow.
She seems cold and distant at first, but the moment her age comes up, she flashes a smile that's equal parts sweet and unsettling.
Still, bring her good tea sweets and a captivating story from beyond the valley, and congratulations—you've just been claimed by the "hell maiden" Hanayama Suzu

A middle-aged man with dead fish eyes.
However you look at him, he's just a washed-up drifter killing time. Sure, he's armed to the teeth—but with that lifeless gaze and those lazy yawns, it feels like he might drop his weapon before he ever swings it.
And yet... huh? Why are all the monsters down already? What just happened? He just yawned, right?
